BIODIFUL researchers will host three sessions at the upcoming World Biodiversity Forum in Davos, Switzerland, from June 14-19, 2026. Under the theme “Leading Transformation Together,” the fourth edition of the WBF will bring together scientists, policymakers, businesses, and civil society to address biodiversity loss and develop actionable solutions.
Workshop: From Mainstreaming Biodiversity Awareness to Mainstreaming Biodiversity Actions (Session CON25)
Convened by Lumi Aalto-Setälä, Satu Teerikangas, Milla Unkila, Hanna Oksanen, Maria Pecoraro, and Mia Salo, this interactive 180-minute workshop will equip participants with tools and strategies to become biodiversity change agents in their own networks. Sign up here!
Transforming Consumption and Production for Biodiversity Positive Futures (Session TRA8)
Convened by Outi Uusitalo and Maria Pecoraro, this session explores the complex interdependencies between economic systems and ecological integrity, addressing how choices in agriculture, manufacturing, and consumer behavior directly affect biodiversity outcomes.
Axioms of Dead-Ends and New Possibilities (Session FUT3)
Convened by Milla Unkila, Saska Tuomasjukka, Mia Salo, and Sari Puustinen, this session invites discussion about the philosophical and historical crossroads that have led to our current environmental challenges, exploring alternative axioms onto which we can ground more sustainable futures.
While abstract submission deadlines have passed for the presentation sessions TRA8 and FUT3, we strongly encourage participation in our workshop CON25 which is open for registration!
Additionally, BIODIFUL researchers will present papers and participate in various other sessions throughout the forum, sharing insights from our transdisciplinary research on fostering biodiversity-respectful leadership across society.
We invite you to join us in Davos! Come engage with us, participate in our sessions, and learn about practical tools for biodiversity leadership that you can implement in your own context. Let’s lead biodiversity transformation together!
